NEWS RELEASE: League City Regional Chamber to host appreciation luncheon for first responders

LEAGUE CITY, TX (September 3, 2020) - The League City Regional Chamber of Commerce (LCRCC) will be hosting its annual Patriot Awards Luncheon on September 16, 2020. The purpose of the event is to honor and show appreciation for League City and Galveston County’s first responders. These include the League City police, Fire Department, EMS, Public Works Departments, as well as Kemah and Clear Lake Shores Police Departments.

“The purpose of the event is to highlight our community heroes,” Dewan Clayborn, the chamber’s President and CEO, said. “The event has always been about thanking our police department and those who risk their lives on our behalf.”

Members of the League City Regional Chamber of Commerce are encouraged to attend the event and take advantage of the options to sponsor first responders who will be attending. Businesses who choose to sponsor the first responders will receive recognition at the luncheon.

Clayborn encourages those who are not members of the chamber of commerce to also attend the event.

“This is a great opportunity to meet your local police chiefs, sheriffs and firefighters and get to know who is keeping your community safe.” Clayborn said.

Those who wish to attend can register and pay at LeagueCityChamber.com. Chamber member reservations cost $25, while non-member reservations cost $35.
