RECAP: League City Regional Chamber hosts Health & Wellness Expo

Your League City Regional Chamber of Commerce held its successful Health & Wellness Expo on Nov. 5 at the Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center. 

The event showcased our region’s most prominent organizations dedicated to health and wellness, each having their own booths to showcase their business and services. 

Businesses in attendance included our sponsors Community Health Network, Fairfield Marriott Inn & Suites League City, HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, Tieken Smiles Dentistry and UTMB Health. Other businesses in attendance included the wonderful Walding Station, Anchor Point, and others. 

The event’s vendors were both surprised and happy with the level of attendance the event had. Chamber CEO and President Dewan Clayborn was very happy about the event’s turnout. 

“I think we had a fantastic turnout considering how much COVID has impacted our healthcare industry,” Clayborn said. “I enjoyed seeing the nonprofits network with the larger healthcare institutions and hope to see even more interactions in the future.” 

Newly joined chamber member Gary Walding of Walding Station Event Venues said he was happy to be part of such a productive networking event.

“I was proud to be part of an event with great food and drinks,” Walding said. “There were many professional businesses there and it was great seeing us all come together and network.”
