The League City Regional Chamber of Commerce has launched a fundraiser selling its own customized masks. The fundraiser is part of the chamber’s Response Recovery Resilience Initiative, which is dedicated to helping those in the League City region recover from COVID-19’s effects on its businesses and community as whole.
The chamber’s CEO and President Dewan Clayborn said the selling of the masks are an extension of the chamber’s goal to promote business while staying safe amidst the COVID-19 pandemic. The masks were created through the chamber’s partnership with Jim Sweeney, owner of the printing franchise Minuteman Press - Bay Area.
“We hope everyone continues to practice personal responsibilities by staying diligent, showing respect for their neighbors and wearing their Chamber mask to help flatten the curve,” Clayborn said.
Clayborn said the funds from the fundraiser will go towards creating more programs and services that will help the community.
“The League City Regional Chamber was not eligible to receive the Paycheck Protection Program along with other federal monetary assistance during COVID,” Clayborn said. “We need your support so we can continue to combat COVID and
help support our small business owners.”
Masks can be ordered on the chamber’s website for the fundraiser.
