League City Regional Chamber of Commerce has Moved to a New Location!
100 Perkins Avenue, Ste B2, League City, TX 77573
Dear Chamber family,
As the fall season begins, there is much on my mind, all of which mostly boils down to two things: motion and initiative.
As you know, your League City Regional Chamber of Commerce is moving to a new location this month and we are quite excited. But like most moves your chamber makes, this is not just news for us, but for you.
Multiple chairs remain for great businesses like yours to sponsor. This is a chance to further cement your business and legacy in both our chamber’s history and the community’s. I highly encourage you to consider sponsoring.
Then there is initiative, which can best be summed up in three words: response, recovery and resilience.
This fall sees the launch of our Response Recovery Resilience Initiative, an initiative with the goal of aiding and uplifting our amazing community about the dark cloud of the COVID-19 pandemic. These three specific words were chosen as the name of the initiative for a reason and represent our goal in ensuring businesses overcome COVID-19. The pandemic has been challenging for both our economy and our mental health and resiliency is a key part of rebuilding both and moving forward. I see the pandemic in three extensive and overlying phases: Response, Recovery, and Resilience.
“Response” is our joint abrupt actions taken to flatten the curve of Covid-19 as well as the precise provisions and agendas put in place for citizens and organizations.
“Recovery” includes support in our efforts to reform policies and regulatory changes that can alter League Cities development trajectory in a positive manner.
“Resiliency” is being better equipped to deal with the next major disruptive challenge (individually and collectively).
It is vital that we end 2020 with the light of hope shining for our community and this initiative is meant to ensure that the rest of the year is spent supporting one another while looking over the horizon to the post-COVID-19 world. We need to start planning how our economy and small businesses can emerge stronger together!
The end goal for the League City Regional Chamber is to create mental health stability for citizens, a network for business-leaders and inclusive shop local campaigns to help jumpstart a more resilient economy.
Resiliency is everything during these times.
Global pandemics and natural disasters are true examples of how life circumstances change quickly. Therefore resiliency, flexibility and adaptability are premium skills for individuals and organizations moving forward.
League City Regional Chamber wants to focus on building a resilient economy! The core elements of this resilience include helping nonprofits and small to medium-sized businesses prepare for the next pandemic and environmental disaster.
I wish these last three months of 2020 to be many things, but I feel that as long as we live up to the three words of our initiative, we will ensure there is nothing our community cannot overcome, as we are always stronger together.
